Carlos Alberto Scolari (1963) was born in Rosario (Argentina) and has lived in Europe since 1990. He currently lives in Spain. He is a researcher in communications and an expert in digital media, interfaces and the ecology of communication. Trained in the tradition of mass communication theory, since 1990 he has studied the new forms of communication that have arisen since the appearance of the World Wide Web. He has taught at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina, and the Universidad de Vic (2002-2009) and the Universidad Pompeu Fabra (2010-) in Spain. He has been a guest professor, conference speaker and organizer of workshops at universities in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the United States, Canada, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Finland, Poland, Austria and Spain.
