Màrius Serra

Màrius Serra (Barcelona, 1963) is a writer. His creations revolve around literature, journalism and games. He has published more than twenty thousand crosswords, over three thousand articles, fourteen books of prose and seven of ludolinguistics. His works have been translated into Spanish, Italian, Romanian, Korean and excerpted in German and English. He has been awarded the City of Barcelona, Serra d’Or, Lletra d’Or, Octavi Pellissa, FEC and Ramon Llull Prizes. He has translated into Catalan works by Edmund White, Tom Sharpe, Groucho Marx, Jayne Anne Philips, Matthew Kneale, Joe Brainard, Tom Stoppard and Steven Berkhoff. He received the XVI Barcelona Drama Critics’Award for the 2006-2007 season for his translation of Arcadia, by Tom Stoppard, produced by the TNC. He contributes to «La Vanguàrdia», TV3, CatalunyaRàdio and «El Punt-Avui».
